Bonding while Baking

I’ve been spending a little more time in the kitchen lately baking with my daughter.  I am always looking for creative ways to spend time with her and we have found that bonding while baking is a great way to do something we enjoy together.   Recently we have had several opportunities to be creative in the kitchen…
We had a baby shower for a friend and baked 2 home-made cakes.  We searched on Pinterest for ideas and found a cake that inspired us.
This is the result of the cake we baked below for the baby shower called ‘The Baby Buggy Cake’.  We used pocky sticks for the handle, M&M’s to decorate the buggy and doughnuts for the wheels.  Such fun!

Here is another cake we baked for a friend. Roses add so much beauty to a cake.

My daughter baked a 3rd cake (below) and decorated it that same day as a surprise for her friend’s birthday and delivered it right to her door! So sweet!

So glad to create such fun memories with my daughter and looking forward to our next project together.
