After I completed the album ‘The Divine Mystery’ I sat at the piano one evening and felt inspired to set to music some of the titles of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
Creating the video for this piece was a moving experience. I wanted to produce something worthy of His centenary commemoration, but it was quite daunting at the outset. As I put my fears aside and focused on the process, however, something magical happened.
I felt inspired by the beauty of the titles bestowed upon ‘Abdu’l-Bahá by Bahá’u’lláh and mesmerized by the power and beauty of His photographs. I was particularly moved listening to the original titles in Persian sung by my dear friend Sonbol Taefi. Unstoppable tears flowed, and all I could feel was wonderment for His life, His trials and His triumphs.
Many thanks to Ayana Douglas and Eric Harper for singing with me in the chorus. My deepest thanks to Jarome Matthew, my producer, who always makes the music shine.
Kindly share the video with your friends and I would so appreciate your commenting on the video.
Feel free to use the song or video for the upcoming Holy Days associated with ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
I look forward to sharing the song as a gift in a couple of days on my music mailing list. Join here.
