Thou Art Nearer: A Community Song in Honor of the Báb
As the Declaration of the Báb approaches, I wanted to share a new video titled, Thou Art Nearer in honor of this sacred Holy Day.

I composed this piece in 2019 for the album, The Exalted One, created in honor of the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb.
My hope was to create a community song that could be enjoyed by all, using some of my favorite passages from the Writings of the Báb.
The repeated phrase in the song makes it easy to learn and sing in a choir, devotional gathering, or community celebration.

Our community sang Thou Art Nearer for the Bicentenary celebration, and I will never forget the joy it brought to my heart to sing it with a choir and to hear the friends in the audience join their voices together.
