I have been listening to one of my favorite songs, ‘In My Arms’ by Plumb, and am reminded of how blessed I am to be a mother!  I’ve been wanting to tell you a little about my daughter, Amelia. She is a talented little one who loves to sing and play the piano.  In fact, she started composing beautiful pieces on the piano when she was 5.  She is 9 now and I remember asking her a few years ago what she wanted to be when she grows up and she responded, ‘A singer or a dancer’!  I remember hoping she didn’t feel any pressure from me to be a singer as my one wish was for her to fulfil her own potential, her own destiny and to develop the gifts of life that she has been given.

Amelia has loved singing as long as I can remember.  I have always enjoyed listening to her especially when she sings in gatherings or among friends.  Last week, as she sang in a gathering in our home, I was stunned.  Her voice has developed and changed and she sounded so mature.  I was awed by how beautiful her voice sounded and how confident she was.

Lately I’ve had the pleasure of singing duets with her in public  on several occasions and it brings me such joy (and comfort too)! In addition to her lovely singing, Amelia has the gift of showing great love to others, friendliness towards everyone, cheerfulness, joy of life and a hugely generous spirit!  I’m so proud of who she is and the young lady that she is becoming. Amelia, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that I love you SOOOOOO much! Can’t wait to sing with you tonight! 🙂
